My 37th time to Japan, and this place has become a sort of 2nd or 3rd home for me nowadays. I spend at least a month in this country every year and I do most of my shopping here - clothes, glasses, stationary, camera equipment etc. Many of my favourite shops are located around the Shibuya, Harajuku and Omotesando Hills area. These areas are extremely trendy but I just realise that the designer shops here actually change around quite quickly. Sadly, my favourite store BookMarc is no longer around.
Here are some simple snapshots I did whilst shopping around the area. I spent a whole day here but somehow find that this is really inadequate. I dunno, I may be taking quite a bit more time looking at all the goods for sale in these fascinating shops and then admiring their architecture as well....Maybe I should move here permanently someday...
As a continuation of the series presented last year, the photos are presented once again in monochrome...

Louis Vuitton & Murakami Pop Up Store. Not sure when they started...presumably early January and goes on until 26th Janauary 2025. This was actually the old Ragtag building on Cat Street if I haven't remembered wrongly.

Louis Vuitton & Murakami Pop Up Cafe (by Coffee Zingaro). Again, this one goes on until 26th January 2025. I think there is a world wide string of events in selected cities for this Louis Vuitton & Murakami collaboration thingy. There's an Louis Vuitton and Murakami Pop Up Cafe in Singapore as well, that is combined with a much smaller Pop Up Store. The one in Singapore goes from 4th January to 19th January.

Not sure what this house is useful, but it is located just a few doors away from the Louis Vuitton Pop Up cafe and the entire white wall is actually full of small LV logos.

Coach on Cat Street...I think this one used to be Tiffany in the past...

It seems that there are quite a few luggage stores around the area now as well...never truly noticed them before...

Delsey Paris is here as well...this one actually looks simple and good..

Audemars Pigeut...

Prada Beauty Pop Up Store...is an interesting little building with the uppermost floor tilted at an angle...

Ocean Tokyo is a hair salon in Harajuku, Tokyo that produces hair styling products under the brand name Ocean Trico.

A spotless white box that rises as a freestanding volume in Omotesando serves as the flagship store for the French fashion, beauty, and haute couture company. The building's embedded fiber optics give it the appearance of floating into the sky at night. The store sells skincare products, makeup, fragrances, and fashion items for both men and women. A few facial treatment rooms are available for a little extra indulgence.
